Recognition and scope
Understand the recognition behind your course.
Institutional memberships, educational partnerships and programme accreditation have different scopes. Ask which evidence applies to the exact child psychology course you choose.
Published institutional references
APTTI's existing accreditation page names International TEFL Canada, IATEFL, the International Association of Special Education, the Early Childhood Association and Montessori Europe, along with references to Lamar University and Siam Technical College for other programmes.
Check programme-specific evidence
A reference relating to a TEFL, Montessori or university programme should not automatically be treated as accreditation of the child psychology course. Ask for current documentation, the relationship type and the programme it covers.
Professional recognition
Membership of an association is distinct from a clinical licence, degree equivalence or permission to practise a regulated profession. Verify any professional eligibility requirement with the relevant authority.
Before you enrol
Request the exact awarding body, certificate wording and current programme-specific recognition information in writing.
